WFA Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on Thursday, 11 November 2010

wfa_cenotaph_2009Attendance at the WFA's annual Cenotaph Ceremony and at the subsequent service at the Guards Chapel is open to all Western Front Association members.

Members of the public are most welcome to view the ceremony.

WFA members must assemble in King Charles Street behind the archway and not at the junction with Whitehall. This will assist the marshals and will allow an orderly column of members to proceed to the Cenotaph. Please assemble no later than 10.30am.

Wreath Layers Please Note:
Please order your wreath from the British Legion early (tel: 01622 117172). A short rehearsal for wreath layers will be conducted by CS Carter between 10.00 am and 10.15am on the day. Medals may be worn.

A very limited amount of disabled parking will be available in King Charles Street, provided that the driver remains with the vehicle at all times. Vehicle details should be communicated to CS Carter as soon as possible.

A Service of Remembrance will be held in the Guards Chapel after the ceremony at the Cenotaph.

Lunch is available for WFA members at Peelers Restaurant, New Scotland Yard. Maximum attendance 110 people. The cost of the lunch will be £22 per person. The closing date for orders is 25 October, bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Please complete the order form below and return it with your cheque and a Stamped Addressed Envelope if you wish to book lunch.

Starters: Butternut Squash soup with herby croutons or Brussels Pate served with Melba Toast.

Mains: Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding or Roast Chicken with Stuffing or Honey Roasted Gammon Ham or Vegetarian option is Vegetable Gratin.

Please indicate whether you require a special diet.

The price includes a selection of hot and cold desserts and coffee. Wine can be purchased with your meal and bar facilities will be available.
