Bring your local WW1 stories, memorabilia and photos to be copied, to preserve them for posterity and shared in future Macclesfield Reflects exhibitions, publications and on the website.

Ask the Family History Society of Cheshire to help you research your WW1 ancestor.

Macc Remembers Sunday 16 Aug
SUNDAY 16 AUGUST 2015 - 1.00pm

St Michael’s Parish Church.

The following acts of remembrance, open to the public, are planned for Sunday afternoon:

A commemoration service

A service attended by civic dignitaries, to commemorate the centenary of the landing at Suvla Bay by the 7th (Macclesfield) Battalion, The Cheshire Regiment in August 1915.

1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment

The Army Benevolent Fund.

The Cheshire Regimental Association.

The Royal British Legion.

A wreath laying ceremony

It is expected that the event will finish about 3.00pm.
