Since leaving University, Bob has worked for over 30 years in various senior roles.
He was the Administration Controller for what was then Scotland's biggest independent supermarket chain, Director of Administration for the largest legal firm outwith the central belt of Scotland and, until recently, was the Head of Operations for a national sportswear and leisurewear company which, as part of the portfolio, supplied strips, equipment and merchandise to various English Premier League football clubs.
He is currently working on a project to open a new state of the art, multi-facet training centre later this year.
Bob is immediate past chairman and founder of WFA Tayside.
He recently successfully passed the post graduate MA course in British First World War studies at the University of Birmingham.
His key WW1 interest is the 1916 Battle of the Somme, especially the fighting from August onwards.
Bob currently lectures on the First World War as part the Continuing Education programme of the University of Dundee and has recently had articles published in national magazines concerning the war.
Bob, who is currently leading the project to restore the Association's Butte de Warlencourt, is married to Julia, has two grown up children, is a keen English Premier league football enthusiast and living very close to the home of golf is known to hit a golf ball pretty badly.
