WFA PhD Scholarship programme
The Western Front Association (WFA) was established in 1980 to perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of all those on all sides who served their countries during the First World War.
As part of its commitment to this end, the WFA seeks to give post-graduate research students who are undertaking MPhils or PhDs into the study of the conflict financial support.
The WFA’s PhD Scholarship Programme makes a series of awards from £500 to £1,000 each year. Candidates need to be a registered student on a recognised programme in any discipline, either full or part time, at a university in the UK or Republic of Ireland, researching an aspect of the Great War.
