CALL FOR PAPERS
'British Army Chaplains in the First World War'
In the light of ongoing reasearh by scholars worldwode, this conference will examine the contaxt, role, reputation and legacy of the First World War British army chaplains. While the focus is on the British experience, comparatives from other European and Commonwealth armies are warmly invited. Main speakers will include:
Prof. Jim McMillan (Centre for the Study of the Two World Wars, University of Edinburgh)
Prof. Gary Sheffield (Centre for First World War Studies, University of Birmingham)

Amport House, a small stately home near Andover, SP11 8BG, is the home of the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre.
Conference Fees. Three days full board & accomodation - £90.00 total.
Day visits - £20.00 a day or part thereof, including lunch & dinner. Bed & Breakfast - £15 a night
