With the war to end all wars over, the combatant nations began to tackle the challenges of victory, defeat and peace. The legacies of the war left peoples and individuals fighting to redefine their identities; soldiers and civilians carrying a heavy emotional burden.
Talks will investigate medical care and memorialisation: speakers include Charles Messenger on demobilisation.
The programme will run from 10.30-4.30, with five talks and a plenary.
