The WFA Front Forum gives news of the above event.
The annual commemorative service is to be held at the Wellington Quarry, Arras on Saturday 9 April 2011 at 0630hrs (local time). This is held at the Memorial Wall - if you come into the car park from the Beaurains road then you won't miss it. The ceremony is open to all. The organisers like to use extracts from soldiers who actually took place in the battle and this year will be using some from Percy Clare, 7th East Surrey Regiment who attacked up Observation Ridge on 9 April 1917 with the 12th (Eastern) Division. They are also running further events in April including walks in Arras itself, Neuville-St-Vaast and Roeux.
Further details are available on Jeremy Banning's website.
