"Naval Aces of WWI" - Prolific author Jon Guttman presents highlights from his recent Osprey Publishing volumes on naval pilots who achieved "ace" status.
"Collecting Trench Art" - WWI trench art collector Claire Luisi showcases objects from her remarkable collection and recounts the fascinating stories behind her acquisitions.
"Oh What a Lovely Myth - Lions Lead By Donkeys" WWI Scholar Alexander Falbo presents recent research as he examines the historiography of British leadership and combat performance during the Battle of Arras in 1917.
"Imperial Germany: Cultural, Class and Religious Background" Janet and Joe Robinson, authors of Handbook of Imperial Germany, examine some of the complex social forces which shaped the generations of Germans who experienced the Great War.
"Presenting Tommy Atkins " -WFA member and professional curator Greg Goodell will presents detailed overview of the arms and equipment of the typical British Tommy on the Western Front from 1914 to 1918, using reproduction arms/equipment and original documentary sources to examine its evolution through the experience of combat.
The seminar will include door prizes, a remarkable exhibition of WWI militaria from collector Frederick C. "Butch" Maisel, and a vendor display from Armour Plate Press.
Attendees may also bring consignment books for the Branch-sponsored WWI book sale.

Where: The Maryland War Memorial Building, 101 N Gay Street, Baltimore, MD 21202
Cost: $25 per person (Students aged 24 and younger FREE)
Parking: St. Vincent's Church, 101 N Front St (opposite the War Memorial across President St/ I-83 terminus)
Directions: From the north, I-695 Baltimore Beltway to I-83 S to downtown Baltimore. At the end of the expressway, the War Memorial is immediately on your right. From the south, I-95 N toward downtown Baltimore, take exit 53, I-395 N. (Ravens Stadium will be on your left). Turn right at Pratt St., then left at Gay St.; the War Memorial is at the intersection of Gay St. and Fayette St.
Lunch: Several restaurants are in walking distance. There will be a 90-minute break.
Post Seminar: An optional post-seminar gathering will take place at the nearby James Joyce Pub beginning at 5:30PM
