There's lot's of good reasons to join the WFA. Here's one of them from WFA Front Forum member Michael:
I attended my first branch meeting (Sussex) on Friday, 14 August 2009 held in Lewes. As the time for the meeting got nearer, I began to think shall I just go the pub instead, rather then catch the train to Lewes and go to a hall full of strangers. But I had given my word that I would attend....and so set off.
The speaker for the evening was David Cohen. His talk was in two parts, "The Soldier in Art (part 2)" followed by "The Man Who Won the War". And his talk was excellent: entertaining but informative. I was also impressed by how well the whole event was organised.
So how ever much we value the World Wide Web and Great War discussion forums, I hope that anyone reading this who is not in the WFA will consider joining and supporting their local branch.
