Pvt Benjamin Kirby, 60th Spruce Production Det., Bureau of Aircraft production, US Army from Pioneer, Wabash County, Indiana.
He was born on 1 March 1895. In civilian life, Benjamin was a farmer and he entered service on 23 Feb 1918, initially into the Casualty Detachment, Air Service Signal Corps. He died of pneumonia on his way home from Vancouver Barracks, Washington on 12 January 1919 and is buried at Rich Valley, Wabash County.
