15045 Pte Charles Spencer, 9th Bn Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
The son of Mr and Mrs. John Spencer of George Street, Carleton, Charles was 33 years old when he died (of wounds received in the vicinity of Gouzeaucourt/Havrincourt) on 16 January in a base hospital at Rouen. He is buried in St.Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.
