8 February Pte James Varley

8-feb-1918-pte-james-varley383365 Pte James Varley, 914 AE Coy, Labour Corps.

From West Marton, Skipton, James originally enlisted into the Royal Fusiliers in Keighley before being transferred to the MT Coy of the Army Service Corps. From here, he transferred to the Labour Corps and was killed in an accident. He was 27 years old and now reposes in Reninghelst New Military Cemetery, Belgium.
