36523 Pte Willum Brown, 1/ East Lancashire Regiment.
Of Accrington, Lancashire, Willum, prior to service, worked at Howard and Bullough's and was an attendee of St Mary Magdalen's church. After being drafted for service in France in December 1916, he was taken ill whilst in the trenches and died, of neuritis, on 2 March 1917 in a Casualty Clearing Station. He was 19 years of age and is, today, buried in Bray Military Cemetery.
