Pvt Kurt Jaeneke, Co D 138th Infantry Regt, US Army.
Born in Erfurt, Germany, on 11 June 1893, Kurt emigrated to the US in early childhood. He enlisted into the US Army on 1 August 1917 at Kansas City and continued his training at Camp Doniphan, Oklahoma. On 18 March 1918, he died during an operation for Mastoiditis and is now buried at Lindenwood cemetery, Fort Wayne.
