Unteroffizier Matthäus Kühstetter, 15 (Bav) Res Inf Regt (3 Bav Res Bde, Bav Ersatz Div).
A holder of the Iron Cross 2nd Class, Matthäus - from Wissersdorf, Bavaria - was badly wounded during the French offensive in the vicinity of Craonne. After being evacuated, he died of his wounds in a military hospital near Guise. He was 37 years of age at his death and is now buried in the German military cemetery at Flavigny-le-Petit.
