Lt Ashton Morrow Baldwin, US Army Medical Corps.
Born at Converse, Miami Cty on 19 September 1889, Ashton was educated at Marion Normal School, Indiana University and Louisville University. A physician, he joined the Medical Corps on 1 December 1917 in New York and was assigned to the Embarkation Hospital at Newport News, Virginia. After contracting influenza, Ashton was sent to General Hospital Nr 1, Denver, Colorado where he died on 16 April 1919. He is now buried in IOOF Cemetery, Marion, Ind.
