21 June 1918 Sgt Ralph H Cox

Born at Sharpsville, Tipton County on 30 October 1894, Ralph was an automobile mechanic before he enlisted into the US Regular Army at Indianapolis on 11 April 1917. After training at Ft Thomas, Ft Bliss, Gettysburg and Camp Greene, he embarked for overseas service on 6 April 1918. On 21 June 1918, Ralph was killed in action at Belleau, France and buried in the temporary cemetery there (American Cemetery Nr1764 - Section F, Plot 4, grave number 181) which is now part of the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery (grave ref: Plot A, Row 1, grave 41).
