27 July 1916 Sdt Xaver Detterbeck

A Master-woodcutter from Kleinkager, Xaver had served in the Champagne and at St.Mihiel before he was killed by the exploding of a mine under his positions in the Lens-Vimy sector on 27 July 1916. He was 33 years of age and now lies buried in the Soldatenfriedhof of Lens-Sallaumines (block 8, grave 466).
