Jgr Franz Weindl, Kgl Bayerisches Jäger-Bataillon Nr 1 ‘König' (Bay Jäger-Brigade 1, Alpenkorps).
From Neumarkt, Franz was 21 years of age when he was killed in action on 5 August 1916 near Fleury. He had served at the front for just one month at this point...all of his service being on the Verdun front. He has no known grave.
