Unteroffizier Georg Tippenauer, Kgl Bayerisches 23 Infanterie-Regiment (5th Bde, 3rd Bav Div).
The son of the Bürgermeister of Sattelpeilnstein, Georg was a graduate of the NCO school at Fürstenfeldbruck (fast-tracked due to the outbreak of war). He was killed in action (gunshot wound to the chest) whilst engaged in patrol action in the vicinity of the Mortagne. He has no known grave.
