11 September 1918 Ersatz-rez Wolfgang PoltlErsatz-rez Wolfgang Pöltl,  Kgl Bayer Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr 8, 2 Komp.

From Holzkirchen, Wolfgang had lived, and was employed, in Thann, Alsace for the three years prior to his call up. A veteran of the 1914 battles in Lorraine and Flanders, he was a recipient of the Iron Cross 2nd Class but was killed in action against the French, south of the Somme River, on 11 September 1916. Wolfgang has no known grave.
