16 September 1918 Cpl William B Kent

16 September 1918 Cpl William B KentCpl William B Kent, regiment unknown, 5th Division, US Army.

Born 13 January 1897 at Eaton, Delaware Cty., William enlisted in the US regular army in June 1916 and saw service on the Mexican Border before being Honourably Discharged due to physical disability. Re-enlisted  10 September 1917 at Parkersburg, West Virginia and was sent to Camp Greene. He arrived in France in April 1917 as part of the 5th Division and was killed in action at St.Mihiel on 16 September 1918. Post war, his body was returned to the USA and he is now buried in the Soldiers' Plot at City Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana.
