Sdt Stefan Wembacher, Kgl Bay Reserve-Inf-Regt Nr 3, 1 Komp (1 Bay Res-Inf-Bde, 1 Bay Res-Div).
From Grossgmain, Stefan was 22 years of age when he was mortally wounded on 9 October 1918. During his service, Stefan had partaken in the battles of the Somme, Passchendaele and the Lys and was to die in Belgium during what was to be known as the Abwehrschlacht in Flandern 1918. He has no known grave.
