Inf Georg Röhrmoser, 4 Komp, Kgl Bay 1 Infanterie-Regiment ‘König'.
From Beifzen in Wertach, Georg had served at the front since February 1916: seeing service near Vimy, Verdun and St Mihiel. He transferred to the Somme front in October 1916 where his unit held a sector in the Sailly-Saillisel and Morval vicinities (suffering huge losses between 13 October and the end of November). Georg was just one of these casualties - being killed by a shell burst near Sailly on 19 October. He was 27 years old and now lies buried in the Kameradengrab of the German Military Cemetery at Rancourt.
