23 October 1917 Sdt Robert Brutus LoisonSdt 2e Cl Robert Brutus Loison, 30 RI.

The son of Eugène Loison and Augustine Eugénie Gautrin, Robert was born on 9 December 1897 at Feneu (Maine et Loire). After initial service in the 114 RI, he was killed in action at Allemant (Aisne) near the Chemin des Dames whilst with the 30e RI (28th Division) during the first day of the Battle of Malmaison (the final - separate - phase of the Second Battle of the Aisne). He has no known grave, but is commemorated on the war memorial at Feneu.
