26 October 1918 Lieutenant Russell Calvin Bayne1st Lieutenant Russell Calvin Bayne,  6th USMC MG Bn.

From Mulberry, Clinton Cty, Indiana, Russell was born on 23 July 1896. He enlisted into the USMC on 29 May 1915 at Norfolk, Virginia, being assigned to the 19th Company. On 9 June 1917, he was sent overseas and was assigned to Co 15, 6th MG Bn USMC (4th Bde, 2nd Division). He was wounded in action in the Mont Blanc sector and died from these injuries on 26 October 1918. Initially buried in National Cemetery No 395 at Nevers, he now reposes in St Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt (Plot C Row 19 Grave 22).
