Unteroffizier Josef Kurz, Kgl Bay 16 Infanterie-Regiment ‘Großherzog Ferdinand von Toskana' (20 Bde, 10 Bay Div).
From Frohnhof, Bavaria, Josef had seen service at the Front since 1915 on the Somme, Galicia, Alsace and Ypres. He was 37 years old when he was killed during an aerial bombardment of Becalare whilst in preparation for transit to the Eastern Front. He has no known grave.
