6 November 1918 Pvt Sharon McKinley DanfordPvt Sharon McKinley Danford, Co D, First Army Supply Train, US Army. Born at Shelby County, Ohio on 28 1894, Sharon was enlisted into the army on 3 December 1917. After training at Ft Thomas, Kentucky, he was sent overseas in April 1918 and saw service at Verdun and St Mihiel. Whilst stationed in the Toul sector, he was killed in a motor-lorry accident on 6 November 1918 and was buried just north of the town soon afterwards. His body was repatriated post-war.
