Sdt Georg Spitzer, 2 Komp, Kgl Bay 2 Inf-Regt ‘Kronprinz'.
A farmer from Unterseebach, Bavaria, Georg had seen front-line service since 1914, fighting at the Battle of the Frontiers and the ‘Race to the Sea' before settling to face the British in the northern part of the Western Front. He was killed by a grenade near Givenchy on 14 November 1915 and has no known grave. He was 24 years old at the time of his death.
