23487 Pte Law Lord, 7th Bn East Lancs Regt.
Born in Burnley in the spring of 1896, Law was living at 91 Branch Road, Burnley at the time of his enlistment in February 1916. After arriving at his battalion during the latter stages of the Battle of the Somme, he was badly wounded while holding positions in front of Grandcourt and died of these injuries on 26 November in one of the numerous base hospitals in Rouen. He is now buried in St Sever Cemetery, Rouen.
