30 November 1918 Pvt Earl Robert AllbaughPvt Earl Robert Allbaugh, US Army Medical Det, Camp Hospital Nr 1.

Born 3 March 1893 at Flora, Carroll Cty, Earl, who was a farmer by trade, was drafted into the US Army on 27 April 1918 at Delphi, Indiana. After training with the 159th Depot Bde at Camp Taylor, Kentucky, he was assigned to the Medical Detachment at Camp Hospital Nr 51 at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia (later at Camp Crane, Pennsylvania) before being sent overseas to Camp Hospital Nr 1 at Roanne (Loire) in August 1918. Here, at Roanne, Earl died of diptheria on 30 November 1918. His body was repatriated to the USA post-war.
