231153 Pte Chester Covell Buck, 202nd Bn CEF.
Born 26 January 1885 at Plymouth, Indiana, USA, Chester was, pre-war, an employee of Swift & Co based in Edmonton, Canada. He enlisted into the CEF in January 1916 and was sent overseas in November of the same year. He returned to Canada in July 1917 after falling ill and being classified as unfit for active service. Shortly afterwards he was admitted to Ponoka Hospital, Ponoka, Alberta where he died on 7 December 1917. Chester is now buried in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
