16 December 1918 Nurse Crystal Evelyn McCord

Born 5 September 1897 at Reeve Township, Davies Cty, Crystal graduated from Nichols Hospital, Battle Creek, Michigan in June 1917. She volunteered as an Army Nurse in February 1918 and was sent to Camp Greene. On 12 June 1918, she sailed from New York for France and was assigned to No1 Evacuation Hospital, Toul. Crystal died of influenza on 16 December 1918 and was (and still is) buried in St Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
