Pvt Earl William Caster, Co B, 309th Engineers, US Army.
Born 21 December 1895 in Milroy, Jasper County, Earl was a farmer who was drafted into the US Army on 2 October 1917. After training at Camp Taylor, Kentucky, he was allocated to the 309th Engineers, but died of pneumonia at Camp Taylor soon afterwards. He is buried in Crockett Cemetery, Jasper County.
