O/Cdt George Veerin Daniels, West Point MA.
Born at Tallula, Menard Cty, Illinois on 4 October 1900, George had entered West Point on 1 November 1918 and, shortly afterwards, contracted influenza. Practically all of George's period of service was spent confined to the hospital at West Point where he died of influenzic pneumonia on 4 January 1919. He is buried in Tallula.
