Inf Andreas Altmann, Kgl Bay 2 Inf-Regt ‘Kronprinz'.
From Obermarchenbach, Bavaria, Andreas had served on Western Front for all of his three years of frontline service, participating in the actions in Artois and Flanders, Verdun and the Somme. He died of wounds received during routine trench-holding duties on 9 February 1918 and is now buried in the Kameradengrab of the German Military Cemetery at Briey. He was 28 years of age.
