11 February 1919 A/Smn Clarence ShermanA/Smn Clarence Sherman Fricke, US.Navy.

Born 10 November 1888 at Jeffersonville, Indiana, Clarence was a painter in civilian life. He enlisted into the US Navy at Chicago on 11 June 1918 and was stationed at the Great Lakes Training Centre near that city. He was still here undergoing specialist training when he died of influenza on 11 February 1919. Clarence was buried in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in his home town of Jeffersonville.
