20 March 1917 Dgn Josef Weiser

20 March 1917 Dgn Josef WeiserDgn Josef Weiser, KuK Dragoner-Regt ‘Kaiser Ferdinand' Nr 4.

Born in Schossleiten, Austria in 1895, Josef , a farmer in civilian life, was enlisted in late 1914 and he had seen service in Russia by early 1915. Due to high casualties at this period, his regiment was amalgamated into Kavallerieschützen-Regiment Nr 9 and continued to fight on this front. After suffering from exposure in the winter of 1916/17, he died in hospital at Weisskirchen on 20 March 1917. Grave location unknown.
