6 April 1915 Kr Res Xaver PongratzKr Res Xaver Pongratz, Kgl Bay 10, Fußartillerie-Bataillon.

From Urnschwang, Bavaria, Xaver was a tenant farmer in civilian life. Recalled into the army in August 1914, he saw service at Arras and the Artois before being killed by a shell-splinter to the head near Arras on 6 April 1915. Xaver has no known grave.
