10 April 1918 Gefr Sebastian MaierGefr Sebastian Maier, 4 Komp, Kgl Bay Res Inf Regt.

An agricultural cobbler from Höpperding in Bavaria, Sebastian had served at the front since October 1914. A recipient of the Iron Cross 2nd Class, he was killed in action on the Lens front during the offensive actions of April 1918. Aged 25 at his death, Sebastian is now buried in the Kameradengrab of the German Cemetery at Lens-Sallaumines.
