25 April 1915 Kriegsfreiwilliger Sebastian HofmeirKriegsfreiwilliger Sebastian Hofmeir, 1 Komp, Kgl Bay 13 Inf-Regt ‘Franz Josef I, Kaiser von Österreich und Apostolischer König von Ungarn'.

An accountant from Wolnzach, Bavaria, Sebastian was born in 1894 and voluntarily enlisted for war service in August 1914. He arrived at his regiment as a replacement for losses received during the Battle of the Frontiers. He saw action on the Meuse Heights and at Bois Brule before being killed in action during a patrol operation near St Mihiel on 25 April 1915. Sebastian has no known grave.
