5 May 1918 Bugler Kenneth Washburn NooneyBugler Kenneth Washburn Nooney, Battery E, 137th FAR.

Born at Springfield, Massachusetts on August 14th 1900, Kenneth initially enlisted in the 3rd Infantry Regiment (Indiana National Guard) for service on the Mexican Border. He re-enlisted into the regular army in June 1917 and was sent to Camp Shelby where he was assigned to the 137th Field Artillery. Appointed bugler and Acting Corporal, he died of valvular heart trouble at Camp Shelby on 5 May 1918, just prior to seeing overseas service. His burial place is unknown.
