108 Sdt-Vrijw Jan-Baptiste Callebaut, 8é Linie Regiment.
Born at Erembodegem on 8 January 1898 (where he was still residing at the time of his enlistment in 1914), Jan had fought on the Yser front for approximately a year when he was killed in action near Dixmude on 7 May 1916. He is now buried in the Belgian Military Cemetery at Adinkerke (grave 1407).
