12 May 1917 Sgt Johann Baptist IrgerSgt Johann Baptist Irger, Bavarian Landwehr Infantry.

A hotelier from Kleinholzhausen, Johann had initially seen service between 1905 and 1907 in the 2nd Infantry Regiment, with which he saw service in China. Recalled to service in August 1914, he was a recipient of the Iron Cross 2nd Class and Military Merit Cross 3rd Class before dying of wounds in Alsace on 12 May 1917. Johann is now buried in the German Military Cemetery at Hohrod.
