15318 Pte Christopher Greenside, 1st Bn Lincolnshire Regt.
From Beckingham, Lincolnshire, Christopher enlisted into the Lincolnshire Regiment at Gainsborough at the end of 1914. Arriving in France on 24 April 1915, he was a survivor of the Second Battle of Ypres but was killed in action on 3 June 1915 whilst engaged in trench holding duties in the vicinity of Zouave Wood/Hooge. Christopher has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing.
