Inf Jakob Meier, 9 Komp, Kgl Bay 11 Inf-Regt ‘von der Tann'.
A tenant farmer from Gaunkofen, Jakob was a serving soldier at the outbreak of war. He saw service in the Battle of the Frontiers, and then served in the Meuse/Moselle region before being killed by a gunshot wound to the head on 28 June 1915. He was 25 years of age and he has no known grave.
