19 July 1918 Landsturmann Johann KreuzpointnerLandsturmann Johann Kreuzpointner, Kgl Bay 16 Inf-Regt ‘Großherzog Ferdinand von Toskana'.

A farmer from Dorfen, Johann was 28 years old when he died of wounds in a field hospital on the Aisne on 19 July 1918. A veteran of the campaigns at Verdun, the Somme, Third Ypres and Lorraine , Johann was wounded in action at the Second Battle of the Marne and he is now buried in the German Military Cemetery of Soupir (Block 2, grave 686).

Johann was the third of three brothers from this family to die in action during the Great War.
