20 July 1918 Inf Josef BrölsInf Josef Bröls, Kgl Bay 20 Inf-Regt ‘Prinz Franz'.

Born at Moosberg, Bavaria in 1889, Josef was a recalled reservist of August 1914. He saw service on the Somme and Artois in 1915 before fighting in the battles of Verdun and the Somme in 1916. In 1917 he saw service in another great battle: the Third Battle of the Champagne, and then in the March offensive of 1918. Josef was killed in action during the Second Battle of the Marne on 20 July 1918. He has no known grave.
