U/offizier Ferdinand März, Schallm Tr Nr 53 (4 Rez Armee Korps).
A tenant farmer from near Wachtesberg, Ferdinand was called up into this rather specialised unit (sound survey/ranging) in early 1915. He died in a reserve hospital at Halschkau, Serbia after being wounded whilst on attachment to the Austro-Hungarian Army at Bukovina. He was 31 years of age and has no known grave.
