393 Sdt Antonie Jonon, 4e Cie 175 RI.
Born at Chatel-Montagne, Loire on 11 March 1893, Antonie was living at 8, Rue Buffon, Roanne at the time of his enlistment in September 1914. As part of the 17th Colonial Division, he served at Gallipoli from May 1915 and he took part in the battle of Krithia and Kereves Dere before he was killed in action near Seddul Behr on 7th August 1915. Having no known grave, Antonin is likely to be interred in the French Ossuary at Seddul Behr.
